Skin Rejuvenation

Sun, skin disorders, aging and even heredity can all contribute to skin irregularities on the face and elsewhere on the body. These include textural irregularities like wrinkles and acne scars, pigmentation changes like freckles, sunspots or visible blood vessels. In addition, skin may lose tone, feel less firm and lose the healthy glow that is evident in younger skin.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions.

The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it.

Laser Hair Removal

** 4-6 treatments required **

Hair removal with IPL (Intense Pulse Light) is the most efficient and quick method. The goal of the treatment is improvement, not perfection. The quantity of hair that will disappear will depend on your tolerance to pain ( which affects the energy level used when treating you), hair color, region to be treated and hormonal influence. The average loss of hair is 80 % - 100%. A residue of hair may therefore remain at the end of treatment. Hopefully, residual hair is 30% - 50% lighter and thinner. Studies performed on Hair removal Lasers show that disappeared hair will not grow in the future.

Laser Hair Removal

PreTreatment Advice

H2B_art1.png

During the preceding your laser removal treatment it is important not to use hair removal cream, bleaching ingredients, wax, electrolysis, tweezers or other hair extractors on the area to be treated.

H2B_art1.png
H2B_art1.png

Only shaving with a manual or electric razor is allowed

Before you start the hair removal session, you have to shave very closely with a razor (except on the face) or we will do it for you to avoid laser removal problems.

H2B_art1.png

Avoid wearing dark underwear to your treatment session if you remove hair ion these areas: bikini, thighs, low belly or back.

H2B_art1.png

IPL works efficiently on tanned skin. However, maximum efficiency of the IPL treatment is obtained by avoiding tanning and/or sun exposure (for the area to be treated) a month before starting the treatment.

H2B_art1.png

We also suggest that you do not use a self-tanning cream during the treatment period.

H2B_art1.png

A sunscreen with at least SPF 30 can be applied on the concerned area.

H2B_art1.png

If you feel pain during the treatment, you may use an anesthetic cream called EMLA (to be applied 2 hours before the treatment). After applying the cream, you will have to cover it with plastic to be kept on until immediately before your session starts.

Laser Hair Removal

PostTreatment Advice

H2B_art1.png

Immediately following treatment, the area may show redness with some swelling. This usually resolves in 1 to 2 hours, but may persist for 1 to 2 days. If this occurs, apply a cold compress for ten minutes every 1 to 2 hours. Discomfort or stinging may be relieved with a acetaminophen, (e.g. Tylenol). Follow instructions for laser hair removal for women and men.

During the next 24 hours

H2B_art1.png

H2B_art1.png

Use a hydrating product within 24 hours (though not a product that is new for you)

During the next 48 hours

H2B_art1.png

Do not go into a swimming pool or spa or do other activities that may put you in contact with irritating substances such as chlorine.

H2B_art1.png

If the feeling of heat persists, apply a cold compress.

H2B_art1.png

Do not scratch the surface, you may cause infection. To avoid scratching, apply a antibiotic ointment such as Polysporin.

During the whole period of treatment

H2B_art1.png

No sun (natural or artificial) on treated area. Use sun block protection with at least SPF 30 so if you expose treated area to the sun.

H2B_art1.png

Any other method of hair removal should not be used except for shaving.

If crust or blistering develops

H2B_art1.png

During the healing phase the area must be treated delicately to avoid laser removal problems. Do not rub, scratch or pick if a crust develops, let it fall off on its own. Irritation may increase the chance of scarring.

H2B_art1.png

In the case of crusting or blistering, avoid make-up until the skin has healed completely and do not shave the area. If make-up is used. It must be applied and removed delicately.

H2B_art1.png

Apply Plysporin, Bactroban or Fucidin ointment to keep the area moist and help healing. Apply until  hair removal side effects resolve.
